MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero said the chamber should complete the impeachment process against Vice President Sara Duterte but “without rushing” the proceedings.
Duterte was impeached on Wednesday through a petition signed by an initial number of 215 lawmakers in the House, immediately sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate for a trial.

Green, the second overall pick in the 2021 draft, agreed to a three-year, $106 million extension. Sengun, who was chosen 16th in the same draft, agreed to five-year, $185 million extension.

The senate president said that the chamber will only “do what is right” without regard for “partisans.”
